Sweet almond oil
First things first—you might be wondering why we’re talking about “sweet” almond oil. That’s because there’s bitter almond oil, too. Bitter almond oil is commonly used to provide scent and flavor, while sweet almond oil is skin’s BFF.
Sweet almond oil is full of vitamin E, vitamin A, monosaturated fatty acids, protein, potassium, and zinc.
Vitamin E is an extremely powerful antioxidant. Oxidative stress (A.K.A. when your body doesn’t have enough antioxidants to fight free radicals) is a major cause of the deterioration of your skin’s collagen layer. Since collagen keeps your skin looking supple, you want to stave off oxidative stress with antioxidants. That’s where sweet almond oil comes in.
Thanks to the Vitamin E, sweet almond oil keeps your skin cells healthy, protects your skin from UV radiation damage, and helps your skin look smooth, soft, and free of fine lines.
The fatty acids help your skin retain moisture and can heal chapped and irritated skin.
Because it’s packed with these vitamins and nutrients, sweet almond oil is a natural skincare superpower. Sweet almond oil is mostly non-comedogenic. The benefits of sweet almond oil can be appreciated by those with oily, dry, and sensitive skin.
It is the powerful antioxidants makes us cherish vitamin E. They protect the skin from environmental stressors like pollution and UV. Tocopherols ( vitamin E ) also help tighten and firm the look of skin which makes it a perfect ingredient to our body scrub. Vitamin E is a very effective moisturizer.
Sugar cane is an indian plant that belongs to the Poaceae family and the Saccharum officinarum type. It is a plant highly cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions like Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, etc. The complete cane sugar, compared to traditional sugar (sucrose from sugar beet), contains a lower amount of sucrose and is richer in mineral salts (calcium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, fluorine, magnesium) and vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6 and C). As compared to traditional sugar, sugar cane is used as a lightening and exfoliating cosmetic ingredient, it is also an ideal antiseptic since it cleans and kills bacteria. It is an excellent moisturizing for the skin, which captures and retains the external moisture.
How to use:
Ingredients: Saccharum officinarum extract (sugarcane), organic Coffea Arabica Seed (coffee), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (sweet almond) oil, Tocopherol (vitamin E), essential oil, fragrance (phtalate free).
